Lusaka, Zambia: In mid-March of 2008, Synergy Initiatives visited Lusaka, Zambia, where the Zambian headquarters for Zambikes is located. Zambikes’ mission is to provide high quality bicycles, bicycle accessories and educational training to underprivileged and service based Zambians.

Zambikes is Acirfa’s Zambian in-country partner initiative. As an organization, Acirfa seeks to develop sustainable grassroots initiatives. This means that Zambikes is a Zambian registered and managed organization that will serve the people of Zambia for years to come. Acirfa hopes to further develop other “Acirfa-bikes” initiatives in neighboring countries as we grow.

Since Mozambique is one of Zambia’s neighboring countries, Synergy Initiatives and Acirfa have begun preliminary discussions about opportunities that exist to collaborate the development resources of Acirfa’s transportation initiative with the lighting and cooking program of Circle of Light.
